Modern Living In Kensington
The starting point was a derelict space, a large room with a balcony. The lowered ceiling was removed to reveal a very generous ceiling height with beautiful stucco features. A mezzanine was installed to create a bedroom and shower space with a kitchen installed below. The walls were painted white to enable a continuous flow between the open upstairs and downstairs. The windows and wall to the balcony were removed and replaced with folding glass doors. The outdoor space became a terrace, adding a sense of generosity to the internal floor space. The furniture chosen reflected an artistic owner with a very personal sense of style. Each item, including the artwork was carefully selected to suit the client and the space.
