One Bedroom Rental
A one-bedroom lower ground floor unit was top notch refurbished. The owner of this town house by Earls Court decided to expand the house by turning the lower ground floor into a separate flat to be used as a rental. The aim was to create a high quality, fully functioning independent flat.
The builder hired by the client, was meticulous in all details. All areas were finished to high standards from new floors, bathroom, kitchen, built in wardrobes to radiators sprayed in the same colour as the walls. The aim was to keep the space visually ‘noise free’, offering a calm atmosphere in a busy street. The small utility space along the left-hand side by the entrance now also doubles as a considered storage space which can be used very comfortably. The solid floors are white-washed pine, giving the space a clean character. The wall colours were kept cool and light to emphasise the lightness of this lower ground floor space.
The furniture was chosen to suit the space long term, creating a timeless look. To make it more personal, a few antique and ethnic pieces where mixed with simple modernist classics, all originals, no copies, for style, pizazz and the love for quality. The space is also accessible from the garden and for maximum light intake a glass wall was installed along with an extensive roof window, letting in a generous flow of light. The perfect rug will give the seating area its final touch. It all turned out so well, I would move in any day.
