First Time Buyer
This one-bedroom 1930’s apartment is well proportioned with good ceiling height and generous original windows, giving the flat a light, harmonious character. We redecorated the property to bring a soft colour palette to the rooms. The new owner chose not to replace the newly laid carpet. The aim was to keep an easy flow for the entire space with simple arrangements that would work well with the character and proportions of the space. The simple book shelve was sprayed the same colour as the wall to merge seamless, offering an easy visual support. We worked to a tight budget where every item had to be chosen with much care to suit the use of the limited pace. The aspect of modernism works perfectly in historical buildings as the furniture proportions are suited for smaller spaces. Every choice should look beautiful on its own and work well together as a whole, creating a seamless setting.
All artwork was sourced to precise budget and to work well with the overall feel, invigorating each room. More art is needed which will be done at a later stage, a few large pieces will finish the space perfectly. It all came together well with a happy client and a lovely project and I am as always grateful the client put her trust in me.
Customer review: Christina is an absolute delight. She has been wonderful during every step of the way: from our initial meetings to finding the finishing flourishes for my flat. Christina’s incredible style, knowledge and dedication surpass what I could have hoped for. She has been exceptionally attentive and has great empathy and perceptiveness – she has always understood exactly what I’ve wanted and has worked tirelessly to ensure every detail is just right. I couldn’t be happier with the result. The whole process has also been great fun. I cannot recommend Christina highly enough.
