Selected Thoughts On Colour And Light
Colour and light are inevitably jointed as light bounces off colour, ever changing its perception.Choosing the right tone of colour for each room is the starting point. What visual ‘temperature’ does the room have, how can it be enhanced or balanced? We all know light colours ‘lift’ and dark colour ‘close’ a space, but which light and dark colour best used to full effect serving the space, is another matter. Listen to your space, it will tell you, don't look at the neighbours choice.
What about art?
Having original art in the home is vital to your wellbeing. Art is a key piece of furniture for many reasons and yet it is sometimes put on the back burner in comparison to other home objects. This list is dedicated to the understanding of importance of art from perspectives of interior design, wellbeing, social atmosphere, creating a mood in the home, and more. One quote that stands out about the importance of original art is the following: “You would not put fake books on your bookshelf, so why would you put fake art on your walls?”
